Also, we have developed a proprietary Conceptual Costing system that quickly estimates capital and operational cost of process concepts. Even though this system is intended for comparing costs, it appears to be rather accurate (+/- 30%).

In the course of our Process Synthesis services we have developed a Hierarchical Model Building system that enables us to conceptualize a process at different levels of detail. At a high level we think in terms of process functions such as mixing, heating, converting, separating etc. At a lower level we consider unit operations, such as flashing, distillation, compression, and the way in which they are arranged. Even lower we have equipment types and details, necessary for making cost estimates. This hierarchy provides a more natural way of thinking in concepts, and allows developers to step back from existing unit operations and designs.

We added a suite of other tools that enable us to create value for the customers we serve. Also, we use industry-standard software such Aspen Plus™ and Supertarget™.
