Our energy benchmarking programs
have been an on-going activity since the establishment of the Kyoto protocol in 1997.
PDC was selected by governments and the industry to set up and execute
independent energy benchmark studies. Currently we conduct approximately 50 global
energy benchmark programs, covering basic chemicals,
organic and inorganic chemicals, polymers and foods & allied products.
Since the European Emission Trading System (EU ETS) has become effective,
the demand in benchmarks for industrial installations has risen. Hence, PDC's worldwide
energy-benchmarks are being progressed towards ETS compliant
benchmarks.
